FreeSense 1.1.11: cloud images are back, same PHP security fix
A Stable patch that supersedes 1.1.10. It carries the same PHP 8.5.12 security fix and brings the ZFS and UFS cloud images back, now with the VMware guest tools. Nothing to do first.
FreeSense 1.1.11 is a Stable patch that supersedes 1.1.10. If you are already on 1.1.10 you have the PHP fix for CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 and nothing is urgent; 1.1.11 is a normal update. If you are still on 1.1.9 or earlier, update promptly: see the 1.1.10 announcement for why.
What is in 1.1.11
- Cloud images are back. 1.1.10 shipped without them: the image assembly requires the VMware
guest tools (
open-vm-tools-nox11) in the System repository, and on the 1.1 line that package was not built. It is now, as on 1.2, so the ZFS and UFS cloud images are published again and carry the VMware tools next to the QEMU guest agent and the FreeSense cloud-init. - Same PHP 8.5.12, now compiled by FreeSense on amd64 as it already was on arm64. The installed version and configuration do not change.
Optional Packages are unchanged since 1.1.10. Development 1.2 ships PHP 8.5.12 since build 1.2.0-dev.20261020.1792754032, published on 23 October. FreeSense 1.0 is frozen and receives no fix: upgrade to 1.1 (the upgrade is one-way, so read Upgrading from 1.0 first).
How to update
Systems on 1.1.0, 1.1.5, 1.1.9 and 1.1.10 update from System → Update as usual. Systems on 1.1.1 to 1.1.4 need one console command first. This release was upgrade-tested from 1.1.9 on a virtual machine before it was published.
